A Peruvian lawyer who graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru in 1984, Ivonne specialises in civil rights, the women’s human rights and the participation of civil society organisations in mediation and conciliation processes. She is an expert in the management of projects based on a gender approach and a consultant on issues related to violence against women. Ivonne worked as a coordinator of research on the human rights of women and of courses on human rights keyed to social organisations and justice operators. She has 23 years experience in the design, implementation and management of projects dealing with women’s rights and development, as well as the formulation of strategies regarding defence, legal reform, gender policy and human rights.

She has been the director of the Flora Tristán Peruvian Women’s Centre and is currently the coordinator of the programme on the human rights of women.
